Dear Customer,

On Monday June 14, 2021, Cpap Store , LLC was notified that Philips Respironics is voluntarily recalling the below devices due to two (2) issues related to the polyester-based polyurethane sound abatement foam used in Philips Continuous and Non-Continuous Ventilators. The Philips recall letter is attached for your reference. Philips Respironics has indicated that in high ambient temperature environments or in patients who use ozone-based cleaners, the sound abatement foam used in the CPAP device can break down. This can result in small particles being inhaled by the patients and has the potential to cause short and long-term health problems. There is also a potential risk of chemical exposure due to off-gassing.
Models Affected:
DreamStation ASV
DreamStation ST,
AVAPS SystemOne
ASV4 C-Series
ASV C-Series S/T
AVAPS OmniLab

Advanced+ Noncontinuous Ventilator SystemOne (Q-Series)
DreamStation DreamStation Go
Dorma 400 Dorma
500 REMstar SE Auto

Philips provided: “For patients using BiLevel PAP and CPAP devices: Discontinue use of affected units and consult with physicians to determine the benefits of continuing therapy and potential risks.” Philips also recommends “that customers and patients halt use of ozone-related cleaning products, and adhere to their device Instructions for Use for approved cleaning methods.” Philips has implemented a system to repair or replace the defective devices and is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. The health and safety of our patients is our top priority while we await further instruction from Philips or the FDA. Cpap Store Dubai recommends that you discontinue the use of ozone-based cleaners and follow the direction of Philips and your physician. If you are in a safety sensitive position, you should contact your physician for further instruction on whether to discontinue the use of CPAP treatment.
Sincerely, Cpap Store
